Honoring America's Heroes
Our thoughts and prayers are with America's Troops today, as well as the 9-11 victims and their families, the firefighters, police officers, and ordinary citizens who heroically faced those extraordinary circumstances.
We acknowledge their courage and pay them tribute.  It is their bravery, and that of all our nation's men and women in uniform, wherever dispersed, past and present, that make us especially proud to call ourselves Americans.
May heavens richest blessings rest upon them and may God continue to bless America!

Cross Plains' Masonry now resides at 225 South Main Street!  The historic first stated meeting was held in the new building on March 22nd, 2005.  With many members and visiting brethren in attendance, the occasion marked the first main street meeting since 1992 after tornados destroyed our 1926 vintage edifice.  With the interior still under construction, brethren braved dust and temporary arrangements to open Lodge in due and ancient form.  Thanks to the work and support of our members, our old building is sold and we are well on our way to having one of the best little lodges in the state.

See Construction Phase below for the latest.

Moving Masonry to Main Street - : During the stated meeting of October 3, 2002, the Lodge passed a resolution to construct a new lodge building at 225 South Main Street on property purchased for the purpose.  The lots are ideally located on the east side of Main Street, between City Hall and the telephone company.  This choice location is in the heart of the business district and adjacent to the city's new park.  While we are now physically located on Main Street our symbolic presence and image remains dependent on continued community involvement.

Construction phase: Masonry now has a strong symbolic and physical presence on Main Street.  Our prominent edifice is creating much interest in Masonry and discussion among the citizenry.   To date: Sidewalk and terracing that tie together City Hall, the park and Veterans Memorial are done.  Except for some trim work, the kitchen floor, and a brick or stone front, the building is complete.  Lodge officers are currently working on some new furniture.

The Archives page gives a brief history of the several lodge buildings built by past members for future generations.  There is again a rough and rugged road ahead which will require our best efforts.

The purpose of this website is to further Masonry and provide current information to our members.  We want to keep you abreast of our projects and progress.  More importantly, we wish to encourage your participation and involvement.

When visiting this or any Masonic Website presenting information about Freemasonry it is important to know that only a Grand Lodge speaks authoritatively for the Fraternity and then only within its own Grand Jurisdiction.

Our information has been carefully considered and every effort has been made to insure that the facts are being presented as accurately as possible
